Rosaria Sanchez was one of two teenagers, the other being Peter Choy, who rescued a five-year-old from drowning in Central Park, and were honored by the city of New York for their heroic deed.

The two were mentioned in a newspaper article read by Hudson and Broadway in the episode "High Noon".
